Downtown LB Wide - Day 300
LONG BEACH, Calif. - Despite the noise reduction cycle, I use the M10-R for some cityscapes at dusk. Took twice as long, but came out with a couple of images. Which do you prefer, light or dark?
Medium Format - Sunset Bliss - Day 295
CORONA DEL MAR, Calif. (October 21, 2024) - It’s been a very gloomy year thus far in Socal. However, there are some days when you just know the sunset will be epic. This was one of those days. From mid-afternoon, you could see the sky developing. Even after a long workday, I knew I had to get out. Here are some images with the Hasselblad from the evening.
M10 Seascapes - Day 293
CORONA DEL MAR, Calif. (October 19, 2024) - shot the M10-R at the beach on this morning. It was bright very early, so these ended up being a little harsh. This is not my first choice for longer exposures, because Leica implements a noise reduction cycle equal in time to the exposure. Anyway, here’s a couple of images.
Misc M10 Images - Day 285

Medium Format -Point Fermin - Day 279
SAN PEDRO, Calif. (October 5, 2024) - A seemingly clear night while heading up to Point Fermin, ended with a twist. While approaching, a large cloud descended above. It got breezy and cold! Here are some images from the night.

Hyperfocal Seascapes - Day 265
CORONA DEL MAR, Calif. - A real world test of Hyperfocal focusing, or lack there of. All shot with the Leica M10-R with the Voigtlander 21mm. Not once did I focus with the rangefinder. It’s actually kind of scary at first. I also did not chimp any of the shots at the beach, so it wasn’t until I got home to be able to check critical focus. Happily, everything worked out.
Hyperfocal distance - Day 263
SANTA ANA, Calif. - Practicing estimating distances using Hyperfocal distance focusing techniques. All images shot with the camera hanging around my neck and not using the rangefinder. Camera used was the Leica M10-R with the Leica 21mm Color Skopar.
